Mary Jones to Go To Palestine with ICAHD

Middle East Peace Project is sponsoring a young lady from the Springs to rebuild a house in Palestine with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.  Mary Jones is a freshmen at Colorado College and is asking for your help to send her to Palestine.  She is a Y-Corps member at Pikes Peace Jusice and Peace Commission and is very interesting in witnessing the problem to better educate her local community.  To donate pleae check out our facebook page, all donations are tax-exempt

To Join us at the Middle East Peace Project please contact Jimi Hummer or Genie Durland our meetings are normally on the second Thursday of each month at the Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission office in Colorado Springs.  The next meeting will be on April 5th at 5:00PM. We are always looking for people interested in helping the cause through non-violence, or to simply learn more!

Boycott Sabra and Tribe Hummus 

On March 17th we protested outside of a Safeway in Colorado Springs to call for a boycott of Sabra and Tribe Hummus. The proceeds of these products help to fund the war crimes of the Israeli Defense Forces. Bill Durland's, one of the founding member of Middle East Peace Project, has published a book about the history, militarism, and peacemaking on the human rights struggle for Palestinian independence.  Wonderful read with insight into the problem from someone who has been working on this issue for a lifetime.
